Testing. Testing. 1.2.3.

Anxious to try out the new camera and lens I drug Micah out for a 5 minute quick session...

I love how small this one makes her look. Sometimes I forget she's so teensy.

Micah's super Vouge pose:

Oh my how I love those little fat legs!

SupaFly boots.

She loves to sing 'If you're happy and you know it,' I guess she's happy, she's always clappin'!

She loves the mirror in her room. She calls herself 'CaCuh' (yes, I know how that sounds) and then...

She focuses on primping...

And, gives CaCuh a kiss!

Snack time, goldfish face!

So, if there's a verdict to be had on the new 40d, I'd have to say its GREAT! It's leaps and bounds above the old Rebel, and I've got no complaints yet!

I got it!! YAY!

So, I've been dreaming of and salivating over the idea of getting a new camera for the longest time now. I had my heart set on upgrading to the Canon 5d, but when Canon announced the arrival of the new 40d with all it's cool bells and whistles, I just couldn't see myself waiting any longer! Today that blessed man in brown showed up in my driveway and I was so excited that had to fight the urge to run down the sidewalk and tackle the package right out of his hands. I must have thanked him like 5 times in the 20 seconds that he was here! Don't get me wrong, I still salivate over the idea of a new 5d, but I have an inkling that they'll be coming out with an updated version of the 5d soon so I didn't want to get one now and then be stuck with the antiquated version in a few months. And, this way, I got to check one more item off of my WANTED list, the 50 mm 1.4. YAY! What an awesome day it was!

Lovely new friend...

The LCD is huge, the body is so big and sturdy and rugged feeling. I am just sooo excited!

Ok, and can I say that I love this lens? I do. Seriously. Great day today...

Braelyn Claire

Meet Braelyn Claire. She's the precious daughter of Brad + Crystal, the couple who were the lucky enough to have the police crash their maternity session a few months ago! She's a delightful little thing, and was actually pretty easy to shoot, although, if I'm being honest, newborn sessions are hardly ever easy. God bless Anne Geddes, she's gotta be one extremely patient chick.

Sweet sleeping baby...

so tiny!

I LOVE this one of Crystal & Brae!

Gotta have the crying baby shot...

yum.

Birthday suit!

Figured I should do the 'pieces of' thing for Brad + Crysal too, so here's 'Pieces of Braelyn' for ya.

feetsies!

Anticipation...

JOY!

Crystal's mom made this quilt, aren't the colors just awesome?

Thanks for looking....leave a comment and I will e-mail you a dollar. ;)

Team Pics

Yes, I do them. And, yes, I know, it's not exactly a great creative outlet. But, I do love the challenge of shooting so many people so quickly. There's something about the high-stress fast pace, it's too fun!

So, just in case this is what you're in the market for, let me know. I gotcha covered!

I suggested we do something a little 'different,' and this is what the girls wanted to do. I kinda meant something more like striking a super-vogue pose, but this does make me laugh!
